Child labor was the most profitable in many ways during the revolution.This could include the profits in the approach of money or even profitable in the way of growth. This would mean that there were more workers to produce more textiles or other items which creates a demand for items, which made the city grow as well as their physical profit. Sadly, most were disappointed when they arrived and discovered that the truth was not as “rosey” as they had been led to believe. The jobs available required long hours and offered little pay.” (Rich) This was the case for most if not all families, because work was needed to survive. Those that did find work the low wages did not support their needs, majority of their pay went toward the government and was never seen again, this was good for the government, but the people struggled because of this.
To conclude, child labor was beneficial for the higher class and government because wages went toward them and they didn't have to work as hard, but the lower class people struggled with the low wages but still adopted the idea of child labor even though it might have been inhumane, it was engraved into their minds that child labor was good, for the time that it
