The American people do not have the right to know about the governments activities when it comes to national security. In return the government should be held accountable as to how such information is used and should be governed by other governmental branches or authorities. An example of our government using intelligence to win a war in history is during,World War two the United States needed a lot of help from spies in order to gather information and remain ahead of their opponents. Consequently, it was a necessity to gather information, but also to keep important secrets away from Germany and their Alies. Special intelligence and espionage assisted the United States in World War Two to defeat Germany and their Allies.The idea behind the NSA having classified intelligence is so that they can be one step ahead of the terroist. What if the person they were looking for was right in front of them the whole time and in their home land? This being the case, by telling the people about their surveliouns you could cause panic and you would not have the eliment of surprise. Incidentally, the inevitable future is one where the government is adapting as technology is changing.
