They sought a way and developed a framework that would help its team in daily interactions, including emotionally charged occasions involving patients and their families as well as with the employees and visitors. The education program that the organization created revolves around the acronym G.R.E.A.T (Greet, Relate, Explain, Ask, and Thank). This program includes PowerPoint presentations, educational videos, teaching cards, and feedback forms. With the initiation of the G.R.E.A.T service standard, the hospital aligns with its mission, vision, and values which lead to patient satisfactions. Moreover, high levels of employee engagement can increase employee productivity and increase in patient satisfaction. A health care organization that reduces employee turnover by keeping the employee engaged is where the leadership is mutually respectful, supportive and appreciative of its team. For instance, EEH invested $7 million Smart Choice MRI in order to offer an MRI all-inclusive fee of $600, including the scan and its reading. EEH believes that by committing to improvement, collaboration, and innovation, this investment is safe and provides effective care at a reasonable cost and a choice to its patients. One other lean principle that EEH implemented is by adding Dragon Medical One that improves physician documentation. Dragon Medical One is a cloud-based clinical speech recognition that streamlines the clinical documentation of all the physician notes that go directly in electronic health record (EHR) system. By using this application, the physicians spend less time on dictation notes that save at least three hours per physician per month getting high quality notes. This time gained allows them to see more patients, complete and allocate documentation immediately in EHR, and enhance the overall quality of patient experience. With these lean principle approaches, EEH improves patient services by adding coordination, timeless, efficiency and value to delivering health care
