The Titanic sinking was so tragic because many lives were lost, also many bodies were not found. The Titanic sunk in the 1900’s. William McMaster Murdoch body was lost at sea. Lady Duff Gordon and Sir Cosmo Duff Gordon survived the sinking and testified at the British Enquiry into the sinking. Lastly, Charles Herbert Lightoller survived and rescued letter by the Carpathia. These were only a few people but there were many others.

This message has been coming from other ships and people have been sending the message on telegraphs. At 9:30 p.m., the ship Mesaba warned the Titanic of what lays in its path. They did not reduce the speed of the titanic or they didn't put people on watch. Then at 11:35 p.m. on April 14th, Frederick Fleet spotted the iceberg directly in the ship's path, by then it was too late.
The Sinking Begins Less than a minute later, the Titanic scraped against the iceberg. At first, the impact didn't seem disastrous, there was a bump and some scraping sounds. It didn't feel serious at first, but the iceberg would disastrous to the Titanic. Shortly after midnight, flooding began to rise to dangerous levels in the crew quarters. The ship’s owners said he would keep the ship from sinking. Many first class passengers cared more about finances than others safety. At 2:20 a.m., the Titanic's boilers exploded sending the ship an in upright position. By the time the Carpathia arrived, the titanic already sunk .
