April 5,1912, a letter came in the mail today. I opened it, inside was what looked like an invitation. It said “ Dear Michelle, Captain Edward John Smith would like to invite you and a plus one to board the R.M.S Titanic in first class. April 10, boarding time will be 2 hours prior to departure. Departure time will be at 11:30am in Southampton. Our final destination will be New York. We hope to see you on the Great R.M.S Titanic!

Abby and I got out of our bed to see what the commotion was all about, as I went to the deck there were chunks of ice in the boat, people were saying we hit an iceberg. The captain sent the ship crew to notify everyone and instructed them to get a coat and a life vest on, and start loading the women and children first onto the lifeboats. It felt like a dream, it seemed like the ship was not sinking, but finally it HITS us, the RMS Titanic is sinking!! Abby and I were helping children load into the lifeboats, but eventually we both got pushed into a lifeboat. As we were paddling away, I got my journal and drew a picture of what we were all witnessing. There was still over 15,000 people were still on the sinking ship. Eventually the ship broke in half. About two and a half hours later the Carpathia Ship saw us and they let us go into their boat. They had already saved a whole bunch of people from the Great R.M.S Titanic. Captain Edward John Smith went down with his boat. People were saying that it took two hours and forty minutes for the Titanic to fully sink. The Carpathia ship took us to New York we arrived in New York on April 18,1912 at 9:25pm. That was an experience that I will never forget about. We were very thankful that we had survived the traumatic experience. R.I.P to all of those victims that passed away on the R.M.S Titanic.
