Have you ever wondered if Jesus really rose from the dead? Many atheists target this as their main source of disbelief of Jesus. Muslims suggest that he didn’t die, but fled to India. Some say that the Roman soldiers, having a faulty knowledge of human anatomy, only assumed that they had killed Jesus. Still others say that he was drugged to appear dead, and then was later awoken by the tomb’s cool air. They back this up with Mark 15:36, where he was given a sponge of liquid. Even if Jesus had somehow survived this all, a Roman soldier pierced Jesus’ side with a spear in John 19:34. The spear would have gone through his heart, and would have killed him once and for all. Alternately, Roman soldiers would pay with their own lives if they let someone live. There is no question that Jesus died that
