The creature and victor are alike in many ways. One example is how at the beginning, both victor and his creature believed they were both destined for greatness. Frankenstein states, “I beloved myself destined for some great enterprise. One big difference is how Frankenstein deemed it criminal to throw away the talents his creature could’ve used, while the creature wanted to be loved because of his talents. The creature stares, “once I falsely hoped to meet with beings who, pardoning my outward form, would love me for the excellent qualities which I was capable of unfolding.” While Frankenstein states, “for I deemed it criminal to throw away in useless grief those talents that might be useful to my fellow-creatures.” This shows the differences of the creature and victor, they both thought of the talents of the creature in different ways.
Another big difference is when victor and the creature both says they have ruined the others love and admiration and turned it into misery. The creature says, “I have devoted my creator, the select specimen of all that is worthy of love and admiration among men, to misery; I have pursued him to even to that irremediably ruin.” Victor states, “miserable himself, that he may render no other wretched he ought to die.” This shows that victor and the creature were responsible for the other persons domaine of misery.
