I agree that conflict can happen at any stage of group counseling. I would go as far as to say that conflict is inetibale due to the mixture of different things such as the following: personality, backgroup, and beleifs. Based on specific groups, clients share common simarlites but often times have conflicting views. These views are the root to conflict within any setting to include groups. Throughout our studies and reading, it summarizes that a group leader/facitorator must deal with conflict, interruptions, and disagreements. That is simply impossible with the combining of differences. Jacobs et al. (2012) states “when leading groups, a leader must be preapered to deal with any number of situations” (p. 394).
