Going into my second recorded counseling session I knew that my client was dealing with some obstacles from the week that really challenged her self-control. I was evident that she was angry and upset going into the counseling session, about an issue she had earlier in the week brought on by another student who threw food on her and made inappropriate and disrespectful remarks about my client and her family. J.L.E. expressed her anger and frustration for the situation, and instead of regressing to old habits of fighting, she walked away from the situation, and reported the situation to the administration.
