As Caesar talks with his wife, Calpurnia, he says to her, “Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste death but once” (Shakespeare 2.2.32-32). When Calpurnia tells Caesar, not to go outside the house, his reply was, “Caesar shall forth. The things that threatened me ne’er looked but on my back” (Shakespeare 2.2.10-11). When the servant returned from the priests, he told Caesar, not to leave the house and Caesar said that he would be a beast that does not have a heart and that if he was to stay home because of fear (Applebee pg, 728). As Caesar arrives to the capitol in Rome, he says to the soothsayer, “The ides of March are come” (Shakespeare 3.1.1). Once Caesar was finished speaking to the Soothsayer says, “Ay, Caesar, but not gone” meaning the ides of March (Shakespeare 3.1.2). As soon as Artemidorus walks up to Caesar, he gives Caesar the letter he wrote, and says, “Hail Caesar! Read this schedule” (Shakespeare 3.1.3). As Flavius was speaking with the commoners, he asked why they weren 't dressed in the clothes of their profession. After Flavius was done, Marullus spoke with the commoners, he asked where their symbols of their profession were, why they had their best clothes on, and what do they do for a living.
