Romeo and Juliet is classically the “love story” that everyone compares couples that have somehow beaten the odds but if you look at it more closely you can tell that it is a story about familial love and not romantic love, until the very end of the play when Romeo professes his love for Juliet. Romeo and Juliet is not the love story that everyone makes it out to be. That in fact it is more about Romeo and Juliet feeling that they need to overcompensate by falling in love maybe to get the attention from their parent that they never had as a kid, because their parents didn't raise them at all but they only got the attention from their nannies and priest’s. Romeo a lust crazed teenage boy with tendencies of a stalker, has a special relationship with his town's priest, Friar Lawrence almost like that father figure he doesn't really have. “Romeo and Juliet” is a play about two star-crossed young lovers, who’s love story ended due to the resentment between the two families, Montagues and Capulets. Both families hate each other because of an old argument and riled up again. The pop-up of the argument started to create disagreements between people and are constantly fighting with each other. Both love and hate can be at times blinding and become as compelling as an influence that everything else is of low in significance. For example, many deaths are involved between the two families prior to Romeo and Juliet’s love for each other.…

In Conclusion, I think that Romeo is a young, inexperienced and impatient but loyal and brave boy. I think that his naivety plays a huge rule in this because love was taken as an extravagant feeling to have when it was not truly happy as the lovers can experience heartbreak and many other obstacles. It seems as if Romeo only more cautious and deliberate, his devastating ending could have been prevented (even though we have not finished the book yet). Amongst friends especially Mercutio, Romeo shows signs of his social and quick witted persona, even with his fond of verbal jousting that is mainly about sex. Lastly, Romeo is like every other male in the world who only unveils their true self to the people who they trust or who understand them.…

For example, when Romeo and Juliet are meeting in the orchard, Juliet says, “Three words, dear Romeo, and good night indeed./If that thy bent of love be honorable,/ Thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrow,/By one that I’ll procure to come to thee,/Where and what time thou wilt perform the rite;/And all my fortunes at thy foot I’ll lay/And follow thee my lord throughout the world”(2.2.142-148). Although Romeo and Juliet just met earlier that night, Juliet is already proposing and confessing her love to him. This is unexpected, considering their time span of knowing each other.
