The two best soccer players in the world got to the top with hard work and dedication. In this era, it is an undisputable fact that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are the two best players around. They are both always the top two contesters for the Ballon d'Or, which is the most significant individual trophy in the soccer world. Every year, each player out performs the other one breaking records and creating history. Both players hold a prestigious name in soccer internationally, creating a respect for the game that takes a special individual to understand. He is only 5’7 but is really strong on the ball and can hold it against players almost twice his size. Messi’s speed is considered a little above average but his acceleration is one of his main attributes that makes Lionel Messi so great; he is one of the most explosive players in the league (La Liga), making him the top dribbler in the game. He is a guy that usually is not as attracted to goal unless he sees the opportunity. By the age of 29, Leo has been awarded the Ballon d'Or five times during his career, which is the most times a player has earned this award. But this year, because of the amazing run that Cristiano Ronaldo had in the Champions League (a league of the best teams in all of Europe), it is predicted that he will win the Ballon d’Or tying Messi’s record of 5. Cristiano Ronaldo is also known for being one of the best in history of the game. He is a player that is lethal almost in every aspect. But Ronaldo, unlike Messi, is not a player that was born with the talent. He is a player that always works hard, he has a really work ethic because he always thinks that there is room for improvement. Always trying to break records, always trying to be the top player, always trying to stand out.
