For my final course, the desert I made was classic chocolate brownies. They were very rich and filling, but they were a little too rich for my preference. I normally do not like sugar, but this dessert complemented my savory dishes. The wine I paired my dessert with was the one I used for my appetizer the Cabernet Sauvignon. I think the wine worked and did not work with the brownies. The wine worked with the brownies because after ingesting all that food the red wine felt right, due to its tendency to help with digestion. I felt the wine did not work with the brownies due to the deep chocolate taste in the brownies. The wine I should have chosen should have been sweeter. The dark red wine tasted a little more bitter because of the sweetness
