Child Care Worker Essay

I worked at Hidden Falls Camp during the past two summers and I loved working with all the kids. Whenever I was having a bad day, I could always go hang out with them and they would cheer me up like that. They loved me so much they want me to come back next year, so maybe I could be their counselor. I think that my calling in the future since I decided not to go to college anymore I think I would want to be a babysitter or childcare worker when I have free time or when I am not doing anything. The duties that a child care worker has is to monitor and supervise the children to make sure they stay safe, prepare and organize meals and snacks for the children, help the children maintain a good hygiene, if you are watching a baby or toddler they have to make change the child’s diaper. They also need to organize time for the kids to play and to have activities when they get bored with playing. They need to make sure they are watching for problems with the children and then address them with the parents. The more hours the child spend with people who are not there the better they will behave. Most kids would be at home playing with their toys than at daycare with their friends and the people who are in charge of the daycare. If your child throws up on the daycare person they will not be able to change until daycare closes so keep your child at home if you think you look sick or you know that they are sick.
