Imagine that one day you find out that one of your closest family friends is going to jail for child abuse. You don’t know what to think because you never saw it coming. You don’t know what to say because of course, you don’t want to believe it’s true. You’re literally speechless. Believe it or not, this kind of thing happens quite a bit. Child abuse happens all around us to people we never would 've expected from people we never would 've expected. Child abuse is a very serious thing and deserves a big punishment because those children are probably going to be messed up for the rest of their lives. After examining the causes, effects, and solutions of child abuse, it will become obvious that every person should do something to slow, or end child abuse. There are many types of child abuse, but four main types: physical, psychological, sexual, and child neglect. Physical abuse is the things you can see on the outside, such as bruises, cuts, scratches, swollen eyes, even broken bones. It normally starts because of inappropriate or excessive physical discipline.
Psychological abuse is the mental abuse. It can happen because of the abuser telling the child they aren’t good enough, they don’t deserve to live, they don’t deserve to have friends, etc. “Psychological abuse is a pattern of behavior that affects a child’s sense of worth by communicating to the child that he or she is not worthy, loved or important.
