Two weeks ago Stephen Bauer and Megan Finlan were arrested for abusing their eight-year old, adopted son, with special needs. Bauer and Finlan kept food away from their son, and they lockped him in his room for days on end, where the boy was forced to defecate and urinate in his room. Child abuse can happen to anyone and teenagers/young adults need to educate themselves to be able to know if a child is experiencing child abuse, and if so, then teens/young adults need to know how to help the child(ren). They should also be taught how to prevent child abuse in their homes and with their families.
