1- Physical abuse: Abuse that causes any physical harm or ill health to a child is called physical abuse. Shaking, hitting, throwing, suffocating, burning, scalding, poisoning or drowning all fall under the physical abuse. Some of the signs of physical abuse are fractures, bite marks, black eyes, unusual-shaped bruises, bumps, scalds and burns. Children who have experienced physical abuse in any form may act out through their play and behavior. Some behavioral symptoms of physical abuse are children exhibiting aggressive behavior during role-play activities, they are reluctant to be with carer, when a carer seems aggressive with a child, they tend to be withdrawn, and they seem sore and stiff.
