One of these causes were Religion, they left Europe because they didn’t like the religion that originally was used there. One reason was that the bible was written in one language which was Hebrew or Greek. Also the people couldn’t read the bible do to the language, so the Priest or the Pastor of the church read them the bible. One thing about this, the people didn’t know for sure that what the Priest was reading was real, so the people demanded that they all should get bibles so they can read it as well. One day, a person named Martin Luther who was a German friar, a professor of theology and seminal figure of the 16th-century movement in Christianity known later as the Protestant Reformation. He is known for a protest that he led, he put posters in front of the church which all said “ Give us a copy” “ We want a copy of the bible” he was the only one that put up all these posters or signs in front of the doorway of a church. With a lot of protests he almost got what he wanted. Instead he left the catholic church and Luther created a new religion named after him “Lutheranism” he gained many followers and got support from German princes. When a peasant revolt began in 1524, Luther denounced the peasants and sided with the rulers, whom he depended on to keep his church growing. Thousands of peasants were killed, but Luther’s church grew over the years. Since New England did not wanted this religion “Lutheranism” they decided to execute the people who were part of the religion. The people decided to escape New England in a boat, since european explorers discovered the New Americas they wanted to go there as there escape place. They escaped in a boat
