Applying the cognitive-behavioral model of SAD in Kamal’s case, it was an appropriate selection in which the therapist not only exhibited extended cultural sensitivity, she also administered different scales to better serve the client’s need. Helping Kamal to change his core belief system about his overall social anxiety required/suggested 16 sessions in order to gain confidence and assertiveness.
