This predicament of Chrysler curtailed from deteriorating sustainability, smug officialdom, and ill-advised management. Sergio Marchionne (CEO of Fiat) was named CEO of Chrysler June 2009. Two administrative challenges that Mr. Marchionne is facing at Chrysler are dealing both with competitive gain and information technology. Prior to Marchionne taking the wheels, rebates were being awarded by Chrysler per the sales chief Mr. Fong to match the amount awarded by the government. Once Mr. Marchionne took charge, the focus transformed from trying to soothe the customer through reimbursements to ensure quality products and state-of-the-art features. Mr. Marchionne 's objective was to improve administration, return profitability, and grow market shares. He also reorganized the management team for effectiveness, fortified employees to follow company direction, and stressed quality and development. This was achieved by example through inspiration and insight every day. He controlled performance by removing unsuccessful data, and the promoting of indispensable employees, and the removal of employees which did not fit the mission.

In today 's economy, the world is mindful of the bailout provided by the government to the automotive industry. Look around, how many Chrysler manufacture vehicles do you see on the roads; without the reorganization and merger Chrysler would not be manufacturing any vehicles currently.
