Introduction
The Canada Employment Insurance Agency is a sizable functioning governmental Institution that is mandated to monitor, assess, and administer the Employment Insurance Program. Many organizations exist within the Canada Employment Insurance Agency. In this report, I plan to outline and explain the function of the Canada Employment Insurance Commission. The report will outline the description of the organization, history, the source of authority the organization has, funding of the program and organization, the structure of the commission, and the mandate of the commission. …show more content…
Some of their specific responsibility includes reviewing policies related to EI and approving them or denying them, and the commission has a key responsibility to support the EI appeal system. The Commission also is responsible for the Monitoring and Assessing Report related to the Employment Insurance Program. This report is regularly tabled for discussion in Parliament. (Canada Employment Insurance Commission. (2009). Service Canada is the Institution to which; helps administer the EI program on behalf of the commission. The Government of Canada website declares that the Employment Insurance Commission plays a leading role in social and employment development, and in overseeing the Employment Insurance program.
