Professionals are aware of each other’s role in supporting the family so that the parents don’t get asked the same questions over and over again and any meetings with the parents can be minimised. Working as a team is a key way in which you can provide good quality care and education for children and support their families. The characteristics of working in a multi-agency team are that it is a team of different professionals that come together to help the development of a child, you can have a different range of views to work with, all the other professionals can offer different support for the child i.e. speech and language therapy, behaviour ect, it will not waste most of the parents time if the different professionals are able to communicate and share information appropriately. If the different professionals an share the information that each of them find out this would be better for them and the child’s parent as then they would all know everything about the child and how they are developing in different ways and may have different views about everything. If all the professionals have respect the multi-agency team can be respected by others and are able to share information needed, they also need to share their responsibility of helping the child in the setting, once they find out information about the child they should then share it with the other professionals then arrange a meeting of some sort to let the child’s parent know each view from the information they have each collected, then the parent may be able to help at home with the different things to help their child
