As a cashier, I was able to see the different levels and how they corresponded with each other. It starts with production and their job was to put out sellable material for the customers to look at and pick through. It then is the cashiers job to sell the product and make it look presentable to everyone. Our main goal was to make sales for the month so that we could get bonuses and become the best store in our district. We had to decorate the stores for the holidays so that it would be alluring to the buyers. Also, we had to clean the store completely, putting back all misplaced items/clothes so that the store will lock pristine for the next day of opening. These rules are placed in break rooms and production rooms for easy access to the employees. The main rules that everyone in the store must follow, are basically to not steal or stash items within the store for yourself or for other customers. There are also the rule that we can not buy anything from our own store outside of the designated shopping days. Goodwill keeps these rules so that it creates a fair environment for other customers. Without these rules, this bureaucracy would be able to get first dibs on everything leaving no good items for customers that do not work there. It is important that us workers gave the shoppers a fair chance to get great deals so that they appreciate the store and its
