This connection can be long-lasting; people who are bullied as children are more likely to suffer from depression as an adult than children not involved in bullying. One decade later, the children who were bullied were more likely to suffer from anxiety problems. The ones who were strictly bullies had a heightened risk of antisocial personality disorder. This disorder has been closely associated with criminal behaviors in childhood.
