Banner first started on September 1st, 1999 through a merger between nonprofits Lutheran Health Systems, based in North Dakota, and Samaritan Health system, based in Phoenix, Arizona (Banner Health [About Us], 2017). Since then, Banner has been constantly improving to accommodate the patient and most recently their biggest transformation is in progress. Along with this reinvention the corporate culture is also involved in this change. This change involves Banner’s new values which will define the new culture to reshape behaviors to focus on consumers. Banner’s Imagine journey is about reinventing the entire company from top to bottom.
