It is very well said that if a person is not persuaded to quit smoking due to its healthy hazards, then the cost of getting oneself medicated may induce a person to quit smoking. Often times, most people start smoking when they are in their teens and are addicted by the time they reach adulthood. Some have tried to quit but have returned to cigarettes because smoking is such a strong addiction. It is a habit that should be stopped because when you run, you get tired and dizzy, especially if you have been smoking for years and years, It can make your nails brittle and your fingers turn yellow, It makes your house smoky and smell like a cigarette ash- tray and it can make one susceptible to many diseases.

Individuals who indulge in this habit claim that cigarettes have a calming effect when they feel stressed. At least that’s what two of my friends used to tell me in high school. The reason for the calming effect is due to nicotine delivered from tobacco by smoking. The very rapid absorption of nicotine (nicotine takes just ten seconds to reach the brain once smoke entered the lungs) and the high blood pressure levels that result, promote rapid and strong behavioral reinforcement from smoking. One of the reasons smoking should be stopped is because one of the first places the harmful effects of cigarettes show up is in your smile. Tobacco contains substances that will stain your teeth. So much for first impressions. Dentists now have new ways to bleach tooth enamel, but after a period of time, the stains become too deep to remove. Heavy smokers have permanently yellowed teeth, and those are the lucky ones who keep their teeth. To make things worse, smokers sometimes have a problem with the bones that support the teeth so that they can't even wear dentures. And these problems are just about the way your mouth looks, not to mention the breath. Second reason is that when you smoke, your family suffers.
