Ayden Reflection

As I walked around I looked in to the Butterflies Classroom and noticed the children were getting ready for circle time as they sat quietly on the rug. Most of the kids in the classroom appeared to be between the ages of three to four. At first the kids seemed very shy towards me, they did not seem like they were very sociable. I was a stranger to them, and I would have to guess that all of the children were experiencing a little bit of stranger anxiety. Each child stood up and begin to introduce themselves. As Ayden pointed to the text and turning the pages of the book one by one, he notice one child out of the group was not paying attention so he walk over and hit the child and push him. The child Ayden push begin to cry. However, one of the teachers immediately removed Ayden from the group and he begin to scream and cry very loud. Another child from the group pick up the book and started to read the book illustrations and told a story based on what she saw in each picture. When she reached the end of the book, she closed it and said “the end.” Ayden’s interaction with his peer he hit and pushed demonstrates conflicts that arise from the process and task chafing form personality. Ayden seem to be very inflexible and unable to control his emotion.

Overall, dealing with the interpersonal relationships is a complex subject that is often given inadequate attention by communities. Each Individual in a group has a particular and unique personality style that has been shaped by the lifetime of their experience situations. As the group gets into conflicts, the elements of group dynamics and personality style needs to be taken into account by the facilitators of the
