Essay On School Starting Time

(Fake sleeping) Oh, sorry. I just fell asleep, while standing. Wow, that’s super strange. It must be because I didn’t get a good night’s sleep last night. Or maybe it’s because I got up early this morning. I get up early and look like a zombie, to go to school 5 days a week. Next year, I will be driving to school with my brothers and how will be able to do that if I am barely even awake in the car when I’m not behind the wheel? Well, maybe we should change that so myself and all the other students who attend Arrowhead are awake when they come to school. I propose that Arrowhead delays the start time of school for an hour.

Oh my god, I’m out of breath, that took forever to say. But it’s going to take much longer for me to complete. O darn, I have after school sports, so I’ll just do it after. O wait, I have to eat, so I’ll do it after dinner. O no, I have to shower. I can’t come to school smelling like I live in a barnyard. I’ll just do it after that. O no, it’s what? It’s already 7, and I haven’t even started yet. Guess who’s going to be up until dawn to finish this? Me! With all of this homework, no one would be able to get a good night’s sleep and to have to wake up early the next day to do it all over again, that is just dishonorable. Additionally, because this is a high school, the majority of the students drive themselves to school. This causes a tremendous total of traffic, especially since school starts around rush hour. Also, since Arrowhead incorporates 7 different feeder schools, students have to drive longer distances to get to school. With this in mind, students have to leave early in order to get to school on time. This causes a shortage of sleep and can affect how you function during the day. Finally, school times as early as 7:20 can impact the grades of students. With staying up later to
