"Its better to walk alone, than with a crowd going in the wrong direction." Herman Siu.

Why would anyone in their right mind have school start at 7 in the morning, like I need my beauty sleep... God knows I need it. But today is the first day of senior year, and I woke up 30 minuets late. Luckily I showered last night but my blond hair made its self in to a actual living birds nest on my head, That I brushed through and threw in a very messy pony tail. My outfit consisted of my brightly colored tie-dyed hoodie and my light wash ripped boyfriend jeans, my shoes were my all white converse. In the mist of running around to get ready to make sure i was on time my very sweet mother, Linda, handed me a granola bar I grabbed my bag and ran to

You might be wondering, Why dose this chick say with a friend who gets her in trouble? Well the answer to your question I prefer to play it safe but when I'm with Mar I step out of the comfort zone I built myself in between the pages of my most trusted book ever: Ruta Sepetys book Between Shades Of Gray. If you've ever read that book you probably think I'm obsessed with the Germans and Hitler and Stalin, well not completely but I think that they are quite interesting. Off topic. Now sitting in 4th period Margot cant keep her damn mouth shut, ironically we are in a communications class, But Ms. Carlton is just not having it. Margot and her big mouth are getting her, Luca-the-big-shot-Martin, and his best friend Brett-the-jokester-for-life-Davison and me-the girl-who's-cringing-her-eyes-out-Arnold. Because Luca made a comment about her ass, which she didn't like at all and had to say something. Now they {Luca and Margot} are going at it, and wont stop even with mine and Brett's warnings. Which were very little, because to be completely honest I was laughing my ass …show more content…
''Luca get you into this, or was it another prank?" He just nodded in response, so I took its as he got detention for both. Just then both Margot and Luca walked in. At each others throats, because what else would they be doing: having a civil conversation, yeah... no.

"You know you should probably shut the hell if you would like to keep your family jewels intact.'' She said putting her hand on her hip. "You know I like my family jewels. You wanna see 'em." I saw Luca smirk and throw his backpack on one of the weird tan desk. Mar cringed harder than I've ever seen, she might act like one of the girls who sleep around but shes not. Luca was not expecting the slap that came to he face, the look of pure surprise. I laughed and so did Brett.

"You know, since were starting all sentences with that, want to get a burger when Mr.Gerald falls asleep? We all know he will, and maybe we can get Luke and Margot to stop fighting." I mean Mr. Gerald only sleeps in dentition , its the bet day to get it anyway. "Yeah sure, I like the burger joint that's down the street. But getting those two to shut up long enough to tell them will be difficult." They are still going at it. Me and Brett have been friends since freshmen year, when Margot and Luca first met, detention and the burger joint has been the hangout

The award-winning Entre les murs, directed by Laurent Cantet, follows the story of a difficult French language and literature class, but more specifically, the relationship between the class and their teacher Monsieur Marin. This relationship is often portrayed as strained and difficult but we are also shown a more pleasant side to it as well. The film has a documentary feel to it due to the use of a hand held camera, diegetic sound and a lack of music which is usually seen in films. Many techniques are used throughout the film to represent the relationship between François and the class including the use of dialogue and filming styles. Both the pupils and teachers from Entre les murs are pupils and teachers in real life (Day 2009)…

All Summer In a Day “She was different and they knew her difference and kept away”... this is what Ray Bradbury writes in his story, All summer in a day. Margot is a girl in this story who wants to be accepted and fit in with the people on venus but she isn't sure how. For example she doesn't defend herself and she doesn't even attempt to try and socialize with the other kids. One reason Margot doesn't fit in and isn't accepted is because *she doesn't defend herself.…

In Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie by David Lubar, the scene I choose for the rewrite in another character’s point of view is the one when Vernon attacks Scott from behind while Kyle and Kelly watched. This was on page 244. I choose this scene because there is so much action and I feel I can write about this scene because so much occured. The original scene is told from Scott’s perspective. Now, the perspective I will be writing it in is Vernon’s; so, we will get his perspective.…

Have these underground houses always been this beautiful? Margot thought to herself, as she observed the street lights outside with no people from her resting chair. She closes her eyes and imagines a place where she hears the ocean waves crash against rocks, she feels the cool breeze in her face and when she looks up she sees the sky aflame with the setting sun, shimmering magically. She feels the hot sand in between her toes. Somehow, this relaxes her.…

I finally managed to pry my eyes open and actually welcome the scent of the brewed coffee and the sight of my white wall.…
