I did not necessarily try to counter the stereotypical image I had but there came a time in our society where being Spanish, eating tacos and speaking the language came to be “cool”. I believe this was because many people became more aware of other cultures and the Spanish culture was more recognized. Even now in our social media for example, you find lots of Spanish related things especially people with cultural foods like tacos, and burrito bowls.
