How President will Serve Everyone after the Election Elected candidates are no different from the citizens of the United States. After getting elected, there is no way for the citizens to be assured that they are being represented and treated equally. After all, it is the Electoral College votes rather than the two-thirds of the population’s vote that determines the winner (Trump 's Victory Another Example of How Electoral College Wins Are Bigger than Popular Vote Ones). Not everyone will have the same mindset and philosophies as the others, henceforth there are two dominant sides within the political spectrum, which are Democratic and Republican. When one candidate from a side of the political spectrum is elected during the primary election, the citizens within the candidate’s political side will be favored more than those on the opposite side of the political spectrum. …show more content…
Their platforms can change depending on which state they are dealing with or which region they will be in to present their campaigns. Since their campaigns are biased towards a situation, it is hard for them to just target one major issue, especially after getting elected as president. For example, President Obama promised to ban racial profiling and provide those in smaller crimes, shoplifting or littering, a second chance in the society, or jobs (Barack Obama on Crime). However, ever since Barack Obama became president, Obama promises were being carried out but they are not fully fulfilled due to the fact that the ideas of Obama are not official laws which means that President Obama ideas or promised will not be enacted the way it supposed to
