In September 7, 2015, Banksy revealed his perception of Disneyland and called it Dismaland in. Dismaland was a temporary art project by a street artist Banksy that was built in England. The street artist constructed in the seaside resort of town of Weston-super-mare in Somerset. He prepared in secret the pop-up exhibition at the Tropicana a disused lido, which was during a sinister twist of Disneyland. Dismaland opened during the weekend of August 21,2015 and closed permanently on September 27,2015, thirty-six days later. Banksy described it as a “family theme park unsuitable for children.” There was only one problem with Banky’s apocalyptic Disneyland: it already exists. This event may be seen as analogous to art but it is not identical to it. An important difference to remember is Banksy created a dystopian version of Disneyland and Walt Disney built a Utopian theme park. Moreover, another distinction between the two is that pattern through the several attractions.
Throughout Dismaland there are various attractions that express the “meaning” of the bemusement park, as it’s called, is ironically promoted as “the latest addition to our freedom.” Dismaland featured attractions including a grinning Grim Reaper sitting in a bumper car, paparazzi snapping shots of deceased Cinderella after a pumpkin- carriage crash, and a butcher making lasagna out of carousel horses.
