In Danny Gokey’s song Hope in Front of Me, he sings, “You’re my hope, you’re the light, I still see it, your hands are holding me, even when I don’t believe it, I’ve got to believe, I still have hope, you are my hope.” The Christian Worldview is a lot different than most beliefs across the world. All beliefs center around the hope in something. Christian’s have the hope in a relational God who does not look at what they do, but waits for them to accept the gift of what He has done. By looking at God, humanity, Jesus, His restoration, the Christian faith, and what God has done in my life, God works to show others what he has done for them and the hope he provides for their future.
The name “god” is described differently by people all around the world. In Merriam Webster Online, they describe god as, “...a spirit or being that has great power, strength, knowledge, etc., and that can affect nature and the lives of people: one of various spirits or beings worshipped in some religions.” Christians use the term “God” as a capital “G” because they see God as only one person. Their God is seen as the eternal creator (Waddell, 2015). He is omnipotent, omniscient, and Omnipresent (Waddell, 2015). Christians also believe He is sovereign above all things, transcendent and immanent (Waddell, 2015). Lastly, they believe He cares about them and is relational (Waddell, 2015). Yes, He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and everywhere, but what characteristics make Him relational and sovereign?…
