A Christmas Carol
In the book A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, is about how one night changed the life of Ebenezer Scrooge. The story begins in December, 1843 in London, England, when Scrooge is a middle-aged gentleman, who is a bad man at the start and becomes a good man by the end. In the beginning story Ebenezer Scrooge is a greedy man and a mean person who does not care to if, what he does with his money hurts other people. In between the middle and the end of the story Scrooge became a caring and charitable person who was happy to give to other people. This story shows the change in Ebenezer Scrooge from a bad, greedy, and hateful man to a good and charitable man.

It is said in the book that Scrooge is such a mean person that no one would ever ask him for help not even the blindman's dogs would. That day Scrooge's nephew came to his warehouse to invite Scrooge to his to his family Christmas dinner. In return Scrooge would say bah-humbug at the idea of celebrating Christmas and why he did not want to celebrate Christmas. After his nephew left a young boy came to his door and began to sing a Christmas song and when Scrooge heard this he picked up a ruler so fast that it terrified the boy and boy ran away. The theme of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens is about a person having to face their inner demons of greed to become a charitable person. It starts when Scrooge meets Marley's Ghost and is forced to see the consequences that may also be for him in the future because of his greed if he does not become a charitable person. And it ends after Scrooge meets the Ghost of Christmas yet to come, when the Ghost decides to give him a second chance to prove that he has changed. That he has stopped his inner demons of greed, that he has left his greedy ways ,and that he has changed into a charitable man. After Scrooge meets Marley's Ghost and heard his warning of his future he pleas with Marley to change his future to help him be a charitable person. That is when Marley told Scrooge about the three Spirits of Christmas past, present, and future who would visit him that night and that they would help him to change. After the Ghost of Christmas past showed Scrooge his happy Christmases, it then showed him one of his biggest mistakes that he made it showed him when he was becoming a greedy man. Scrooge after watching that then said that he could not bear to see it any longer so then he seized the extinguisher-cap and pressed it down on the Ghost's head.
