There is a general saying, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”; however, that is not necessarily the case and merely a figure of speech. Otherwise, doctors would only be normal human beings with no significance in the world. On the contrary, doctors could literally be described as lifesavers because that is just who they really are…lifesavers. There is not a simple explanation as to why doctors exist or as to why they do what they do because a doctor’s job is so complex that without a support team, cooperation from patients, and a driven passion to save lives, they would not be able to do what they do best (Russell, Importance of Doctors). The term “doctor” is rather a general term since it could refer to any person who is licensed to treat and cure patients. Imagine you go to the doctor for headaches that just seem to randomly come and go. That doctor would be your primary care physician, who would then refer you to another doctor that would likely perform an array of exams to see what is going on with your body in order to give you a proper diagnosis for your headache treatment. In other words, a group of doctors includes licensed medical professionals who specializes in treating patients’ diseases and/or illnesses and assist with delivering new lives into the world. Doctors must communicate effectively and must be understood clearly in order to achieve desired results.
