“Working nights does make it hard to cook”(108). During this time Tracie acquires shift work disorder where her sleep schedule is out of order and she feels lethargic throughout the day. All of these issue are perfect excuses for her not being able to cook her own food. And then there are those people who say they are busy and don’t have the time to cook, but at the same time they’ll go onto netflix for an hour a night. Are they really busy, or are they just being laziness. Some argue that the root of this issue with cooking our own food is motivation. The lack of motivation is what prevents most from accomplishing their own goals and aspirations. For example, for some, losing weight is a difficult goal to achieve. You have eat healthy and cook your own food, you have to go drive to the gym and workout. For some this is classified as working too hard which goes the same with cooking. When people think about work, you think about the long hours, the labor, thought process, etc. For the most part, people go to work not because it’s fun but because they need to make money. With the lack of energy, time and motivation, that frozen burrito that's sitting in the freezer is sounding pretty good. So when people get off work, they do not want to go home and start work
