Due to this decision it helped American in a very big way. It cleared a way for the Lewis and Clark Expedition. So that they can discover things like a route for a water way , just for the American colonies . Also, it help double the size of the United
States, making a great expansion for the colonies to settle. Which is great because that’s what people wanted , to expand the territory . It’s good for farmers so they can plant and due other things. The Monroe Doctrine was issued in 1823 , to prevent Europeans from settling west. It benefits America greatly, for the U.S to expand they have to prevent the Europeans from sending more settlers. This helps American transition from the older ways to newer things. People can have have their own land and discover valuable things. As well as beliefs known as the Manifest
Destiny.
Anyway these events in American History is important. Without these events America wouldn’t have a form of Nationalism. We have a voice as the people and rights , making us who we are. A nation . A powerful country . And independent . That’s our identity , that’s what make us different from the other
