The movie All Things Fall Apart was released in early 2012. It's about a young athlete by the name of Deon, played by Curtis Jackson. Deon has a promising future. During his senior year in college , he gets diagnosed with cancer. However, despite getting love and attention his entire life due to his incredible athletic ability , he is always humble and caring to his family and friends. Deon's father Eric, who is played by Mario Peebles, and his mother Bee, who is played by Lynn Whitfield , are Deon's biggest supporters along with the entire community rooting for him. Deon also has a brother by the name of Sean , who is played by Cedric Sanders. Sean is the complete opposite from Deon . Sean has the smarts , but he is not blessed with the outstanding athletic ability like Deon. Everyone is a fan of Deon except for Sean. Sean shows a lot of hatred and jealousy towards Deon, which you'll see throughout the movie. …show more content…
Deon goes into the locker room to shower, and when he gets in there he collapse. He is rushed to the emergency room , and Deon and his parents is notified with bad news. The doctor informs him that after they have ran a few tests on him , they found a tumor in his chest very close to his heart. After knowing that he now has a tumor in his chest , he realizes that football will no longer be in his future. During the Chemotherapy process Deon loses over 60 pounds during the four months he was in the hospital. Bills after bills is accumulating for Deon's parents. Deon being sick caused a lot of change within his family and community. His mom and dad gets divorced, Deon loses his scholarship, gets behind in school and eventually drops out
