Health is an instrumental ingredient for growth across the world. For this reason, adequate amount of money is allocated to the health sector in the quest to reduce the vagaries of diseases. In light of this, the budget allocations primarily focus on health promotion, health education as well as the provision of adequate medicinal drugs to cure existing diseases chronic and short-term. However, with minimal success being realized political authorities through their legislative organs ensure that policy formulation coupled with enactment of legislations come in handy to offer mitigation strategies in the healthcare sector. Such initiatives are geared towards the realization of equitable as well as reasonable provision of healthcare services notably to the elderly or low income earners in the population. One such initiative is the Affordable Care Act assented into law by the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama.
This research paper argues that the Affordable Care Act is an ideal strategy that revolutionized the United States healthcare system thus increasing efficiency in the human resource as well as generates revenue from the government in a win-win basis.
