Introduction Leadership skills are what every man wants to achieve. Being a leader is a great honor. Becoming a leader is difficult and takes a lot of dedication. There is no single definition of leadership. This complex term has meaning through the way one acts and leads others. A great leader has several dimensions and can overcome many obstacles. When thinking of great American leaders that have overcome obstacles and tribulations, one man comes to mind. I have chosen to write my paper on Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln is believed to be one of the greatest American leaders due to the impact he had on the nation during his presidency. Lincoln had a distinct personality that was considered to be humane and authentic. Lincoln’s leadership style is one that was complex and dimensional. This paper is going to explore Lincoln’s reign over the nation. This research paper will attempt to explain the many dimensions of Lincoln’s leadership style, his background, and the global impact of his most controversial decision as president.
