Arthur MIller was an American essayist and playwright in the 1950’s the cold war was so called creating a feeling of fear within the citizens and the people accused his wife for even thinking she was a so called spy with the working of Russia.So Arthur had wrote a book so he conclude this event. In the play the crucible by Arthur Miller he had developed the characters of Abigail Williams,Tituba,Rebecca Nurse the lack of choices can create three different types of people.
Arthur Miller creates the character Abigail Williams in order that she was a so called lier and a “overall” bad person.Her lies are in this quote,”Uncle we did,dance let you tell them i confessed it and i’ll be whipped if i must be. But they’re speaking of which craft. Betty no whiched”. (Miller Act 1 , P9). The reader knows that this quote means that Abigail was lying to her uncle about how they was the only dancing in the woods and this quote means that it can react on how she is a lier.
