In 1953, Arthur Miller wrote the play The Crucible .One of the themes it presents is jealousy, which many people are easily motivated by. In the play, Abigaile is motivated to do anything, even accuse Elizabeth Proctor of witchcraft, so that she can be with John Proctor.
