The C means its directly connect subnet. The L is local route which is a single subnet /32 defining the route for just one address. |

Whats the difference between Process Switching, Fast Switching & Cisco Express Forwarding? |
Process Switching - (old)looking up each destination in the routing table & exit. Fast Switching - cache for destination so dont need lookups for each bit of traffic. CEF - many differemt cache table & is change triggered. |

Distance Vector - hop count or distance. Link State - 3 tables: directly attached neighbours, topology of the whole network, routing table. Hybrid - aspects of both. |
