- Confer with Senior Train Control Officer about the protection required for the train and the incident site.


- Ensure First Aid assistance is provided to any injured persons by notifying Emergency Services via Train Control ASAP


- Manage the incident, including preservation of evidence.

What information must be given to police at the scene of a level crossing accident?

- full name, address, grade, departmental number

Driver to make an equalising brake application and release before departure to ensure there are no sticking brakes.

When an offence has occurred during a shift, train drivers are to complete a ‘Security Incident Reporting Form’ and submit to workforce controller.
