OFPITA -Over coming inertia, energy used to get the water moving. -Frictional Loss, while moving up the hose, frictional loss occurs. -Pump entry loss, the eye of the pump takes energy from the water. -Imperfect vacuum, a perfect seal outside laboratory conditions is impossible. -Temperature of water affects the lift of water. -Atmospheric pressure decreases with altitude. |
