As in the original novel and first movie made, although they are both based around the creature, it still revolves around the women in the story and how they were made out to be as if they belonged to the men they were with. Caroline, Victor Frankenstein’s mother, died of scarlet fever while taking care of Elizabeth, Victor’s adopted sister and the woman that Victor grew to love and marry. After they got married, Elizabeth died at the hands of the creature, whom had told Victor he would kill him on the night of his wedding when Victor told the creature he would not create him a female companion with who he could share his life with, but because Victor knew he was coming, he searched for the creature, only to come back to his room and find the love of his life dead. He only brought Elizabeth back to life for himself, not for the creature and they fought over her, until she killed herself because she did not want to belong to either of them (Gill. 93-98). Women in the story were known as innocent and heroines because of how they died. The original story of Frankenstein was more revolved around the women than the creature itself. In the beginning of Frankenstein, the captain who found Victor, is writing to his sister/lover. When they find Victor he is takes his story from the beginning of his life most of which revolves around Elizabeth, and how he felt about her even as a child before his mother adopted her. The book talked about the letters Victor and his love Elizabeth wrote back and forth during the time Victor was creating his own man-made monster. It talks about how Elizabeth dies at the hands of the creature, and how Victor chases after the creature when Elizabeth a second time after Victor brought her back to life (Wollstonecraft Shelley). With the story being based around the women in the story, the love that both Victor had for
