He met them on a beach, cleaning their father’s cleaning boat. They both dropped everything and left with him. Throughout their journey Peter was the one to ask questions. Asking when Jesus would die and when he would take the his rightful place and overthrow the Romans, what the reward would be for following him and how often we should forgive. Most of the questions we would want to ask, were the ones asked by Peter. As Jesus was being trialed Peter stood outside alone as all the others had fled in fear of being captured. Earlier in the day Jesus had said that Peter would deny him three times. As Peter waited to see what would happen, multiple people came to him asking if he knew Jesus. Three times he said no, proving Jesus right. After the crucifixion Peter and the others were filled with the Holy Spirit. Peter then traveled Jerusalem and Syria, spreading the world to the gentiles. In the end he was crucified, not wanting to be crucified like Christ he told the romans to crucify him upside down.
