There is no doubt that an elaborate underground base exist below the Denver International Airport. What actually is going on down below in this base however is a mystery. When taking a closer look at this airfield it is evident that something weird is going on. “While the most extreme claim maintains that a massive underground facility exists below the airport where an alien race of reptilian humanoids feeds on missing children while awaiting the date of government-sponsored rapture” (Maher 4). This extreme claim just shows what the human mind can conceive when coincidence and the unknown meet. The research is done, is there a conspiracy or is it just being blown out of proportion. This is highly unusual, generally speaking one main contractor is hired and does all the major building while hiring sub-contractors to do plumbing, steelwork, electricity, etc … What is going on that they need to hide the truth from their own builders (Hayes 1). Susan says “… this was a tactic to prevent workers from understanding the true scope of the project, allowing planners to build a facility six stories underground without anyone questioning it” (Maher 1). The location of the new and improved airport is less than ideal. When DIA is looked upon it is in a spacious and wide open field surrounded by mountains. The airfield was not always like that, “the expense and time was taken to extensively lower some areas and raise others. They moved 110 million cubic yards of earth around. This is about 1/3rd of the amount of earth they moved when they dug out the Panama Canal” (Anomalies Unlimited 2). This is a lot of dirt, but if that’s the spot they wanted then fine, but why would they want that spot? Because DIA is located in a valley there is a lot of wind, this causes many flights to delay or even cancel, this is not good for an airports financial situation and reputation. They lose money each time a plane is delayed, it holds up the next flight and customers don’t want to wait so they go to a different airport next time.
