This article is deeply and carefully analyzed one of the masterpieces of Homer, called “ The Veteran in a New Field ” and was painted in 1865. After General Robert E. Lee's submission in April 1865 and the Union and Confederate peacefully dismissed. The soldiers were able to return home from a brutal war and return to the pre-war job. The Veteran in a New Field describes a soldier who returned home from the front of the battlefield and harvested the cereal in the field at noon. The grain in this picture is very tall and very rich.
