Evolution is a term coined by man in describing Charles Darwin 's theories on the beginning of the universe as a whole. During the years 1831-1836, Darwin sailed around the world collection samples and making observations. It is in this voyage that he formulated his theory on Evolution. This series of theories and hypothesis was a direct assault on the accepted origin of man at that time. A vast majority of society believed in the creation of man and the universe by God. When Darwin 's theories were originally published, it sent shockwaves across the scientific community. There were many who readily accepted it, and there were those who openly opposed it. Throughout the decades, there have been numerous …show more content…
There is no such thing as a "good mutation." "Mutations are always a loss of existing information." If mutations only result in the loss of genetic material, it would be impossible for other species to evolve from these processes. Probably the most heated arguments among Creationists and Evolutionists is the exact age of the planet. As the theory of Evolution has expanded, the age of the earth has been increased substantially. When Darwin initially made his calculations, he believed the earth to be tens of millions of years old. This would make complete sense seeing how slow the process of mutation worked. It would take millions of years to create tens of thousands of species across the planet. This was only the beginning, however. Since the great technological discoveries during the 20th century, Darwin 's calculations have been outdated, and the age of the earth has been more accurately measured. A Creation scientist will give an entirely different estimation. For many years, scientists and supporters of the Creation theory used the Bible as their main source for dating the earth. The Bible dates Creation about 4000 B.C. Logically, people added another …show more content…
Evolutionists believe that fossils discovered of man from thousands of years ago, prove the fact that we descended from apes. They believe that they have the transition point between on species and another. When apes began to evolve, they did not just develop one strain and lead to humanity. This process resulted in several species of primitive man, each moving toward modern looks and traits. Obviously, through natural selection, many of these species were wiped out. An argument such as this would be completely absurd to a Creationist.
It is really simple to explain these subtle differences within the shape and size of the human beings of ancient times. Advancements in health sciences were obviously not developed to any noticeable degree during those times. As a result, it would have been extremely easy to acquire severe and perhaps life threatening deficiency . Some of the people found could have suffered from a calcium deficiency. With many other deficiencies known, it is quite easy to see why people in the ancient times looked the way they did. Given these arguments, it is only fitting to give my input about this entire
